I'm a New York-based registered dietitian nutritionist. I am originally from Japan. I grew up in "food is (as) medicine" environment because my mother believes cooking high-quality foods is essential for her family.  Although I knew how to eat to keep healthy, I was very busy with my college, macrobiotic cooking schools, and weekend part-time jobs and lost my period for 3 months. I learned how stress affects our health at that time, but I could heal my body with a plant-based diet and some tips from a macrobiotic diet to improve my health.  I felt the power of food at that time. After working several nutrition-related jobs, including NIH Tokyo in Japan, I moved to the U.S. to complete my Master's in nutrition at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Nutrition Consultaion:

I offer medical nutrition therapy with whole-food principles. I first analyze the client's body type and create personalized nutrition consultations to treat medical conditions and help improve diet. I also teach clients how to use Japanese foods such as natto, miso, and seaweed in their diets if needed. I have seen various medical conditions such as diabetes, gestational diabetes, weight issues, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, thyroid disorders, hormone imbalance, etc.  In the past few years, I have seen more reproductive health clients. I believe that a fertility diet will improve your chances of getting pregnant. Please visit this page for the details.

Let's find the root causes of your health problem and work together to change your diet
